I've been in the Real Estate business since 1982. I started out part-time working for a Real Estate Broker in Westchester County while I continued with a full-time career with the New York State Police. In 1992, I moved up to Columbia County as a result of a transfer. Since that time, I have worked out of my home/office and as my business began to grow, I decided to leave government service (after 30+ years) and devote my full efforts to providing friendly, honest, no-pressure, fully computerized, "quality" real estate services to my customers, both present and furture residents of the Columbia County area.

On March 26, 1998, I formerly changed the name of my company from JOHN W. WALLACE - "Licensed Real Estate Broker" to THE GRAY RIDER Real Estate Company LLC. The company is named after the first New York State Troopers, who performed their duties on horseback and who were the affectionately called the 'Gray Riders'. Working under this company name is a daily reminder of my goal of continuing to deliver the highest possible level of quality service to my customers and not forgetting my 30+ years of service with the New York State Police, where I first learned the importance of providing the highest possible level of service to the public.
If you would like more information about the Columbia County area, the services we provide or other properties that are available, please contact me via my phone/fax at: 518-392-7062 or click on the mailbox below to send an e-mail message to me:
